Description Main Contractor: Kier Build, WEMMS Trust Value of Project: £1.3Million Duration of contract: 16 Months No. of Site Operatives: 10-25 No Ealing Hospital Uxbridge Road Southall UB1 3HW F&S Pipework carried out a project for Kier Build / WEMMS Trust, this was a bespoke procure 21 project which involved the enabling works. The enabling works included the installation of 7 new natural gas plantrooms, these replaced the steam system, as the old steam generation plantroom buildings had been demolished to enable a new 60 bedroom mental home to be constructed. We completed two phases of underground gas mains, during which, we undertook all trenchworks ourselves and installed over 1000 metres of MDPE mains up to the size of 355mm. We also installed a temporary steam and MTHW boiler to enable early demolition of buildings. Project Value £1.3 million. We was awarded the mechanical package of a further £720k to install pipework systems into the 60 bedroom Mental hospital. Works is still on going.
