| At a Board Meeting convened on 14th August 2009 Martin Shaw, who has successfully fulfilled the dual role of Chairman and Managing Director for the past 10 years, stood down as Managing Director proposing Andy Carr as his replacement. The Board voted unanimously in favour of this proposal and since 1st September 2009 Andy Carr has been fulfilling this role with great aplomb.
During Martin's reign as both Chairman and Managing Director the company has undergone significant growth and expansion going from a small business with a £2m turnover to that of a medium sized company turning over £14m in 2009.
In 2008 the company expanded its Board to 5 working Directors. The strengthening of the Board brought in additional skills necessary for this company to continue developing and improving its level of client services whilst maintaining a strong statutory compliance and health and safety ethic.
Martin will remain Chairman but, by stepping back from some of the more mundane day to day decisions, will now be able to actively concentrate on future business development and liaison.
It is Martin's expressed desire and intention to be actively involved in all other aspects of the organisation and he will provide continuing support and guidance not only to Andy Carr but the rest of the Board.
The Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to express their gratitude to Martin for the invaluable and sterling work he has undertaken as Managing Director during the past decade.
